Precision Agriculture

Let’s Work Together

RLCD offers a precision agriculture equipment upgrade cost-share program funded through the Sustainable Farms and Fields Fund.

Complete the form below to let us know you’re ready to get started.

  • What it is.

Precision Agriculture is a conservation and production concept which aims to use and apply agricultural practices and products with as much precision as possible by utilizing available technology. RLCD is offering up to $4000 to individuals through a competitive grant application to help with upgrades and purchases!

  • Why do it?

To reduce expenses for producers and improve natural resources for everyone. Precision ag tech reduces overuse, misuse and off target use of agricultural products ensuring the right product goes in the right spot in the right amount, all while reducing fuel consumption, machine time and improving natural resources.

  • How to do it.

By upgrading equipment with various technologies—maybe a swath guidance system to reduce fuel consumption or over application of herbicides. Perhaps by upgrading a field sprayer with individual nozzle controls. Maybe you’d like to monitor your irrigation more precisely. Or perhaps your existing tech just needs a software update! Share your idea in the grant application below.

  • Who is eligible?

Landowners, users, operators and producers within the Rock Lake Conservation District.
